I've received a call about a month ago from my local VW dealer inviting me for a free health check and a software update to 3.2.
We dropped off out ID 5 yesterday morning to the dealership, picked up a Taigo as a curtesy car. Been told that it will take at least a day with the health check, we didn't hold our breath. This morning we've got a text from VW with a video link showing the health check then a call straight after informing us that the car is ready. Boy we were surprised. Went back, picked up the car, it is 3.2. What surprised me a bit is the fact that they have replaced the 12V battery as part of the software update.
Apart from Bi-directional charging and some changes on the infotainment (and the stats on the little screen), nothing new, all good so far. We've noticed that the system is much much faster than 3.0 and somehow the range seems slightly higher than normal (we have this car since Nov 2022) but it might be the effect of some counter/stat resets...
Going on a long trip weekend, will see how it performs.
