Pre conditioning the battery

How do I pre condition the ID5 battery before use? What's best way.

Does charging the car pre condition the battery before use by making the battery warm?

Or heating up the cab make the battery warm before use?

I don't think heating the cabin will have any noticeable effect on battery temperature, but if you precondition the cabin while still on the charger, you'll use mains power to get you comfy rather than costing you range.
