Re: What is a safe minimum charge?
How low you go will depend mainly on availability of chargers along your route, and your own accepted level of risk (just like with an ICE vehicle). A few general points though You should be able to drop to aound 5% with no adverse effects. Below this, temperature has a bearing on when "tortois...

Re: ID5 Charging Issues
A good step-by step approach means that you've eliminated a hardware fault as a possible cause, since it will charge at 7.4kW during the day, This means that it's most likely a settings issue, or, less likely, a software fault (it's worth checking that Hive post again to make sure you have V1.4.5). ...

Re: ID5 Charging Issues
Problems like this can be tricky to solve but it’s always a good idea to think back to what may have changed around the time the unwanted behaviour started:- Electrical work at home? A recent car service? Fiddling with car settings (make sure you haven’t set a charging schedule with reduced power)? ...

Re: software version
VW are very tight-lipped about software updates, so what follows is conjecture based on forums and the "official" Facebook group. V3.7 might be as good as it gets for your car. Many users think that 4.0 and beyond need later hardware. My 2022 model was on 3.0 until a few weeks ago. I was t...

Driver's door opened during drive
As above. Driving today at about 30mph the door opened on its own, causing lots of wind noise, the interior light to come on and triggering an "Error: Auto Hold" on the display. Although the latch stopped the door from swinging wide open (which several have experienced :o ) it was very dis...

Re: iD.5 Brochure ?2023
Not really the exact answer you're looking for, since VW seem pretty good at disappearing info for superseded vehicles. They seem now only to offer the Match and GTX trims for new orders. I did find this at Carwow...https://www.carwow.co.uk/volkswagen/id5/specifications#gref For quite a lot less mon...

Re: Is type two cable supplied
I can confirm that my July 2022 Pro Perfomance Tech was supplied with a Type 2 cable. My dealer also generously threw in a 13A "Granny" charger on request.

Re: App error
Hmm, this is odd. I have found recent versions of the app to be more reliable. Are you running the latest app version? Mine (Android) is at V3.0.7 (Android). In particular, I rarely have any need to synchronise manually. Does your car have a good signal where it's usually parked? And what s/w versio...
